As a very young girl, I always had to have my hands busy and be involved in any sort of handicraft whether it was sewing, crocheting, knitting, petit point, needlepoint, or cross-stitch.
In 1979 I took up quilting and fell in love. Since that time not only has the equipment and quality of fabric improved for quilting, but my experience also grew to include teaching and judging.
In 2000 I took up bear making and it was in 2003 that I found a second love, making bears out of old fur coats. My bears come alive and “speak to me” once they have their ears and eyes added.
I now enjoy doing the two things I love to do best, quilting and bears.
